Dorm Room Boxes is a student shipping and summer storage company. We pick up your items for storage right at your dorm, store them in our secured facility all summer long, and delivery your items back to you before the start of your next semester.
Our facilities are located in each region we service.
You can schedule a time to pick up your boxes online and we offer FREE pick-up.
The link to schedule pick-ups from our facility will be available once your order has been picked up and brought back to our facility.
Dorm Room Boxes strives to ensure all of its pricing is up-front and easily understandable for all of its customers. Customers may encounter additional fees based on international service, oversized items, additional handling of items or additional packing or boxes.
Dorm Room Boxes accepts payments online with debit or credit cards. We are unable to accept personal checks or cash payments.

Each package is designed to facilitate pack and storage for one individual.
To check if the services are available at that University send us an email with the requested University to usf@dormroomboxes.com and a representative will be happy to check that for you.
Upon completion of your order if all information was correctly inputted you will receive a confirmation email with your order number.
If you did not receive your order confirmation please email usf@dormroomboxes.com so a representative can assist in providing the order number for you.
Please email us at usf@dormroomboxes.com with your order number and the requested changes needed. A representative will make the changes and send an updated confirmation email to confirm.
On the day of your pick up we will video chat with you to confirm the inventory going, once loaded and brought back to our facility you will receive an email letting you know your packing portion of your service has been completed and we now have your items.
All packages can be changed to meet your needs, once purchased we will have you fill out a short survey to see what additional services may be required.Â
You will only need to contact those roommate(s) who have not moved out of your space and have them email the following information to the university housing department email.
Name, Student ID#, Building & Room Number and include the following statement:Â I (name of roommate) agree to allow (your name) to use approved University vendor, Dorm Room Boxes access to our space to pack their belongings.
Dorm Room Boxes will be unable to enter your room and pack your items until University Housing has received approval from your roommate
Packing & Inventory
Packing involves carefully preparing products for shipment, ensuring they are protected and organized for safe delivery.
Once booked we can take into account any additional items you may have, such as furniture items,items that would not fit easily into boxes, bicycles and other odds and ends.Â
We recommend to NOT pack perishable items such as food or makeup as these items will likely expire or attract unwanted quests while in storage.Â
We do NOT accept prescription medication and would recommend taking all medications with you.Â
If in the event you accidentally packed a belonging owned by your roommate we can work this out at the redelivery of your items.Â
If you have a fragile item your looking to pack you can use packing paper, newsprint or soft clothes to provide protection when packing. For anything to large to fit into a box that is FRAGILE we can take steps to protect the item for an additional fee.Â
Our boxes can fit clothes inside them, but they would need to be folded and placed to sit in the box.Â
All the boxes for packing will be 24″ x 18″ x 18″ in size.
When packing each of your dorm room boxes we recommend you pack items based on similar likeness. So breakables with breakables and clothes with clothes. Then make sure to number each of your boxes and also provide your order# on three faces of the box. If you packed breakables into a box notate in addition the letter F to denote fragile contents inside.Â
Additional boxes can be purchased.
When packing ANY electronic ideally placed back in it's original packaging would be the recommendation. IF you do not have the original box or packaging then making sure it its wrapped in packing paper or something soft is the next best option and making sure all cords that can be removed are removed and it is placed in away it would be when in use.Â
Customers are able to store almost anything with Dorm Room Boxes with a few exceptions. Dorm Room Boxes customers can store boxes of items, furniture, mini-fridges, bicycles, and much more. The few exceptions include jewelry, cash, liquids, chemicals (cleaning and otherwise), prescription medication, and perishable foods
Yes! Dorm Room Boxes is fully insured to safe guard our clients from damage or loss of items. Each box we store is protected for up to $75.00 in value.
If you are including a mini-fridge on your order please make sure to turn the fridge of 24-72 hours from the date of the pick-up to allow it time to defrost and for the water to be emptied out of it. All food and perishable items must be removed as well. IF we have to handle the FRIDGE on the day of with water leaking or needing to be defrosted or cleaned this will occur an additional $50 fee.Â
Storage & Delivery
Storage refers to safely keeping products in a designated space, ensuring they are organized and accessible when needed. Delivery involves the transportation of goods from the storage or warehouse to the customer, ensuring timely and secure arrival.
Your items can be delivered to campus in the Fall semester for as low as $50.00.
Non-storage package:
Once items have been packed and brought to our facility a confirmation email will be sent to schedule return dates for shipping.
Storage package:
Scheduling for storage return requests will be emailed a month before the Fall semester begins. Fees start as low as $50.00 for delivery on campus.
Shipping will be calculated once we have the inventory at our facility and is dependent on total miles and additional items added to the 3 boxes included in the service.
We facilitate the shipping but will allow you to pick your items up if requested.
If you wish to pick your inventory up from our facility please email us the request to usf@dormroomboxes.com with your name and order number.
Dorm Room Boxes has storage facilities each region we service. Your items will be picked up and transported to the closest facility servicing your university or college.
Dorm Room Boxes stores all of our clients’ belongings in our secured & monitored warehouses.
Additional Fee & Charges
Yes! We are happy to help lighten the load by disposing of items for you. The item disposal fee is $25.00 per item.
We can dispose of all of your items as well for an additional $100.00
Storage packages:
Over-sized items are $75.00 each for 3 months of storage until the Fall semester begins.
Return packages:
Over-sized items start at $55.00 for local delivery within 15 miles of campus, longer deliveries that require the item to be shipped to another state or country can entail a higher fee given the cost to ship them. To get more accurate pricing on long distance shipping click HERE.
TV’s that are larger than the boxes included for packing are $55.00 to pack into a custom TV box .
Price to ship each additional box over the first 3 that are included in our price.
Per one additional box
Within Florida: $55.00
Less than 500 miles: $75.00
Less than 1500 miles: $95.00
Less than 3000 miles: $95.00

If you have furniture items you would like to junk we can add this service in at an additional fee. During the video walk through we can address these items and the cost to remove them. You can also email inquires to usf@dormroomboxes.com and a representative will be happy to help.
